| Google has always been my favorite search engine. But I heard that Ask.com is making a total over hall and is trying to dominate the search engine industry. Do you think they have a chance? They do have a very user friendly name everyone can remember ask.com. what do you think they will do to attract users to their search engine? |

I heard that too. And from the background of the firm trying to acquire Ask Jeeves, I would say they can have great success. Google is still one of the simplest search engines and that is why it is my personal favourite.
But I think ask.com can get really big, at least to the potential that it does have. Because right now it is not close to its full potential. I also think they have to drop that whole "Ask a question, instead of entering a keyword" deal. People these days want to find the best matches in a SERP, with entering the lowest amount of keywords.
Ask.com does work with regular keywords searches, but the average novice internet user might not know that just because of the "Enter A Question" hype surrounding Ask Jeeves. |
